Conversations
We believe open dialogue, and an exchange of ideas, can make communities greater.
From 2016 - 2021, Morning Fill Up provided a space for conversation and new perspectives by bringing interesting people to rural places for conversation, collaboration, and community. During this time, local, regional and national leaders travel to rural communities for a 24-hour blitz of conversations and collaborations through Morning Fill Up.
Since starting the monthly conversation series in 2016, nearly 60 guests accepted the invitation to participate, and more than 6,000 people attended Morning Fill Up. Guests included:
a Grammy-winning beat boxer
the CEO of the largest nonprofit provider of affordable housing in the Midwest
producers of the Oprah Winfrey Show and National Native News
the person who landed the Rover on Mars
…and more.

Rural Philanthropy Institute and The Numad Group no longer host the Morning Fill Up series. However, the conversations remain as engaging and illuminating as ever.
